PLOT
A number of heavy dramas–including LIONS FOR LAMBS and IN THE VALLEY OF ELAH–have addressed the wars in the Middle East, but IN THE LOOP takes a different approach: comedy. Though the American president and the British prime minister are itching to attack, a top U.S. general (James Gandolfini) and the British Secretary of State for International Development (Tom Hollander) believe that’s the wrong decision.
