Richard Stevens (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) never thought that working in the United States embassy in France has a very high risk. Richard realized that working in the field of intelligence is a risk but he never thought that the risk would be for it.

Charlie Wax (John Travolta) is a man who opened the eyes of Richard about the actual risks of this job. Charlie was an FBI agent who was sent to France to thwart a terror effort that has smelled the American intelligence.

In contrast to Richard, Charlie was a funny but not hesitate to shoot when it is needed. Because the task requires, there was no choice for him other than accompany Charlie as he tried to track the trail of these terrorists. Certainly a new experience he got.
